Cycle Touring Club(e-mail cycling@kenmare.com) The Kenmare Cycle Touring Club organises rides throughout the year, mainly on Sundays, check their program below for the correct dates. The main event is the Ring of Beara cycle, in 1999 , there is a choice of distances, 83, 112 and 141 KM. All routes lead around the beautiful and highly scenic Beara Peninsula Members of the club will meet in the Square, Kenmare at 10am every second Sunday for an organised cycle. The length and duration of each cycle will depend on the level of fitness of participants. We welcome cyclists of all ages and will organise each cycle accordingly. Children are invited to come along. Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult. Once again, this is open to everyone especially families. Cycles will be organised to suit every taste. In 1995, the club spent a weekend in Barleycorn and this included a visit to the Mizen Head Lighthouse. The weekend was very well attended and enjoyed by all. Now, we hope to repeat the experience!
