Muxnaw Lodge Offers 5 guest rooms en suite with baths and power showers, some with views of the Kenmare River and the bridge. An extensive breakfast menu is provided and included in the rate. The mature landscaped gardens, with a tennis court, featuring an attractive copper beech at the entrance gates. Muxnaw Lodge takes it's name from the Gaelic "Snamh an muc" - swim of the pigs. It was here where farmers would swim their pigs across the river on their way to Kenmare. Situated on the Castletownbere Road (R571) it is an ideal base for touring the Ring-Of-Beara and the Ring-Of-Kerry. The walk to the town centre allows harbour views and access to Reenagross Park and Sheen Woods on the river banks. Hannah and Vincent Boland provide Irish hospitality amid comfort and style.
