The Kenmare Choral Festival Committee is looking forward to hosting our first Choral Festival in Kenmare, Co. Kerry, Ireland from Friday the 30th November to Sunday 2nd December 2012 under the patronage of Dr. Geoffrey Spratt, Director of the Cork School of Music. The Committee invites Choirs and others to come and participate in our Festival events whether as a competitor, spectator or tourist.

Our Festival has been organised to celebrate choral music through competitions and performances while stimulating a greater appreciation and enjoyment of this art form.

The four categories of competitions were developed to encourage as many different choirs as possible to participate in the competitions – Church Music, Light Entertainment, Chamber Choirs and Large Choirs.

So, please do plan to come to Kenmare to celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Season and enjoy the competitions, beautiful music, great entertainment, Christmas shopping and the many festive events planned for the weekend.
