Hill walks vary from 6 - 12 miles in length and usually involve climbing in rough, open country. The walks in this plan are classified as either Strenuous (S) involving steep outing or Moderate (M) a less strenuous hike.

The phonenumber opposite each walk is that of the person who can be contacted for further information.

All walks start from The Square at 9.00 am unless otherwise stated. Own or shared tranport required for walks.

All members, prospective members and guestwalkers are welcome to join us on our walks (see exclusions) and are particularly invited to the AGM which is on Saturday February 7th.

DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED


Caution

Hill walking is an activity associated with a danger of personal injury or death. To minimize the risk involved walkers are advised to be properly prepared for walks chosen especially Grade S walks, for which a reasonable degree of fitness is required.
Walkers attend at their own risk


Equipment

GRADE S: Boots, water proof over clothes, tracksuit -NOT jeans, warm cap, gloves, rucksack, packed lunch, hot drink, whistle.

GRADE M: Strong comfortable footwear, rainwear, tracksuit - NOT jeans, warm cap, packed lunch if appropriate
