Kenmare is a walkers paradise and will cater for every walking enthusiast.
Its has several walking festivals which take place each year around
Easter and the big one round Whit Sunday. The Kenmare Walking club has its own
website where you will be able to find the details of this event. Many walks
are available in the area and are well signposted. The famous Kerry Way is amongst them.
There are 2 golf courses in Kenmare, the Kenmare Golf Club, which is
located in the town next to the prestigious Park Hotel and Ring of Kerry Gold Club,
located 5 miles out of Kenmare on the road to Sneem.
The Kenmare Bay Diving, Seafari Cruises and Star Sail and Adventure Centre bring much
entertainment for all the family. Also you get to see the areas surrounding Kenmare
and you could also spot some seals. The scenery from the Kenmare Bay is stunning and
breathtaking and well worth a visit.
